Welcome Note
Welcome to fourth grade. Please check your student's Wildcat Homework Folder and sign their reading logs daily. The folder will contain homework and sometimes valuable information from me, the school and or our district. In class, I will be checking their reading logs regularly. Also, students will have numerous opportunities each quarter to log into Infinite Campus to check their grades and for missing assignments. Parents/Guardians can also log into Infinite Campus at any time to track their students progress.

I commonly communicate with my families using Class Dojo. Please join our Class Dojo to receive messages, view our classroom stories and or obtain general classroom information. E-mail and Class Dojo are great ways to send quick communications. I cannot guarantee I will answer your emails and Dojo messages immediately, but I will do my best to respond promptly. I look forward to seeing you around campus and our scheduled upcoming school activities.

Our homework packet (includes: A Weekly Reading Log and a Grammar Packet) goes home every Friday and Math Homework is assigned daily. We work on the grammar packet in class, and some pages will be assigned for homework. Just in case your student has misplaced the packet, I print off a few extra copies of every assignment for those who may have misplaced it. Students are welcome to check the "Extra Basket" for a second copy of any assignment. Our ELA homework goes in order. For example, we start Unit 1 Week 1 on August 19th. The next week (August 26th) we begin Unit 1 Week 2. Our Math Classwork and Homework begins on August 19th Chapter 1: Place Value pages 11-16. The next day, (August 20th) we continue with Chapter 1: Read and Write Multi-Digit Numbers pages 17-22. My goal is to move forward each day to the next lesson. Sometimes school events or other factors may prohibit us from starting and or finishing the assignment. I apologize in advance for any confusion this may cause. I will do my best to communicate if situations like these arise.
